3 Tips for Writing Great Website Content

Your website is one of the most important business tools you have.  So, ensuring your content is on the mark is a must.

Nobody wants to spend time trailing through paragraphs and paragraphs of text to find the few key pieces of information need to make their decision. The bottom line is, your website visitors will move straight onto the next site if they cannot find what they want quickly and easily.

With a few tweaks you can get your words to sing, giving your website visitors an experience to enjoy.

Here are 3 Tips for Writing Great Website Content:

1. Sentences
  • Keep sentences to 20 words or less.
  • Remove small words where possible.
  • Use interesting descriptors.

2. Paragraphs
  • Ensure paragraphs have a theme.
  • Keep all relevant information together.
  • Make paragraphs succinct.

3. Pages
  • An ideal number of words per page is 300-400 (except for your product, gallery and contact page).
  • Highlight important information by using bullet points or numbered lists.
  • Use images or testimonial quotes to make your pages interesting.

See how you go and get in touch if you need help.
